Today we rode through the Wind Caves National Park, past the Crazy Horse Memorial and Mount Rushmore. We had a lot of climbing but the trip was broken up by bison crossing the road, Mount Rushmore and an afternoon thunderstorm that we waited out in the entrance of a bar a few miles fromRapid City. Other people in our group weren't as lucky. When the hail got too deep several riders fell on the slick pavement and a few took refuge in a passing family's RV. The storm blew over us within an hour or so and by the time we got to Rapid River the sun was blazing again.
