Day 23: Rapid City, SD to Wall, SD - 57 miles with only 1,550' of climbing

Today's ride didn't start until after 8:00 due to the low mileage and included almost 20 miles of riding on I-90. Visited a rest area where I spoke with a local lady who said she and her husband own thousands of acres that they farm and ranch. They acquired it from their great grandfather who homsteaded over 100 years ago. She said the area is so dry that it takes 14 acres of land to support just 1 cattle. Not much else to see today as most of the rolling hills were of fields of hay that had already been baled. Once in Wall we visited the legendary Wall Drugs where they stock absolutely every kind of souvenir no one would ever really need.

It is great to get into town early to relax, clean our bikes following yesterday's rain and prepare for tomorrows 117 mile day.

Roadkill tally: 184
Flats: Still only 1
Hurts: Life is good.
